WOLF & SWAN is a modern dance company based in New York City. We tell stories. Movement is our language, understood all over the world. In harmony with music, we touch and express emotions in which all people can feel seen and heard.
We celebrate the magic of beauty and compassion to bridge divides together with our audiences and bring humanity into the world.
OUR PLANS For 2025/2026
NEW SHOWs:
We are delighted to present a full-length production of DRAGONBLOOD,
a feminist interpretation of the famous Song of the Nibelungs, rooted in Norse mythology.
A reflection on moral responsibility.
We are also looking forward to the premiere of NEAR DISTANCE, a humorous work consisting of five short stories that tell of life in virtual worlds and the impact of digital media on our social behavior and everyday life.
NEW MOVIES:
Following the acclaimed debut of BRAVE STEPS, followed by AN OCEAN AWAY which screened at 32 international film festivals in 25 countries on 4 continents, we are currently producing three new dance movies:
ANCESTRAL SHADOWS, DANCE IS IN THE AIR and BIRD SONG IN SILENCE.
With them, our passionate mission and love of beauty can travel and delight a global audience so that people around the world can enjoy the dance of WOLF & SWAN.

the courage, humility, and autonomy we need to reclaim our power to act rather than re-act, and to boldly counter misanthropy with philanthropy and a global sense of responsibility.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Wilma Casal is a NYC-based dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and the founding director of WOLF & SWAN dance company.
Searching for the origins of social and emotional discrepancies, her works engage themes of ancestry, dignity and responsibility and celebrate the clarity of human movement.
Using the Martha Graham technique as her guiding light, she aims to create captivating imagery and a pure articulated dance language to grant magical moments for her audiences and convey her vision of a just and respectful world.
Her works have been awarded at both national and international dance and film festivals.
